EADS Honor Guard Supports Holocaust Memorial Lecture
New York Air National Guardsmen from the Eastern Air Defense Sector presented the national colors at the Helen and Leon Sperling Holocaust Memorial Lecture in Utica on Monday, May 2. This year’s lecture honored military veterans and the memory of those who perished in the Holocaust. The lecture featured Hudson Falls High School teacher Matthew Rozell, whose World II living history project has brought more than 200 Holocaust survivors together with the veterans who liberated them. The EADS honor guard, from left to right, are: Master Sgt. Tom Whiteman, Master Sgt. Jeff Lamarche, Senior Master Sgt. Don Roberts and Technical Sgt. Jim Mauthe. Not pictured is Master Sgt. NEADS Hockey
Members from the Northeast Air Defense Sector battle out a hockey game that pitted the Americans verses the Canadians Dec. 17. As a North American Aerospace Defense Command unit, NEADS is well-stocked with Canadian hockey players. 7/28/2008 - ROME, N.Y. -- Members from the Northeast Air Defense Sector stand at attention before the start of the Honor America Days Parade in Rome, N.Y. July 26. The 1.5 mile parade in Rome included a bi-national color guard and participants from NEADS, Air Force Research Laboratory, Information Directorate, and the Rome Free Academy Junior ROTC. NEADS, AFRL commemorate 60 years
Air Force 60th Anniversary attendees at check out the A-10 static display from the 104th Fighter Wing, Barnes Air National Guard Base, Mass, Sept. 18. Members from the Air Force Research Laboratory Information Directorate, Northeast Air Defense Sector and returning 465th Fighter Interceptor Squadron veterans commemorated their heritage during the event.
