Seven 224th ADG Airmen reenlist in New York Air National Guard

The New York Air National Guard’s 224th Air Defense Group (ADG) recently reenlisted seven Airmen.

Reenlisted Airmen include:

  • Master Sgt. Rachael Alcorta. Alcorta is the Noncommissioned Officer-in-Charge (NCOIC) of Training at the 224th Air Defense Squadron.
  • Master Sgt. Shane Rude. Rude is the Security Forces Operations Superintendent at the 224th Support Squadron.
  • Tech. Sgt. Timothy Deckard. Deckard is the NCOIC of Operations Scheduling at the 224th Air Defense Squadron.
  • Tech. Sgt. Ryan LaClair. LaClair is a weapons director at the 224th Air Defense Squadron.
  • Staff Sgt. Andrew McNamara. McNamara is a communications technician with the 224th Support Squadron.
  • Staff Sgt. Jordan Jarecki. Jarecki is a tracking technician at the 224th Air Defense Squadron.
  • Staff Sgt. Pierce Relyea. Relyea is a Security Forces Flight Sergeant at the 224th Support Squadron.

The 224th Air Defense Group is composed of the 224th Air Defense Squadron and the 224th Support Squadron, located in Rome, and Detachment 1 and Detachment 2 that serve in the Washington, D.C. area. The 224th ADG provides the forces to conduct the Eastern Air Defense Sector’s (EADS) mission. Part of the North American Aerospace Defense Command (NORAD), the Sector is responsible for the air defense of the eastern U.S.
