EADS Honor Guard Supports Holocaust Memorial Lecture
New York Air National Guardsmen from the Eastern Air Defense Sector presented the national colors at the Helen and Leon Sperling Holocaust Memorial Lecture in Utica on Monday, May 2. This year’s lecture honored military veterans and the memory of those who perished in the Holocaust. The lecture featured Hudson Falls High School teacher Matthew Rozell, whose World II living history project has brought more than 200 Holocaust survivors together with the veterans who liberated them. The EADS honor guard, from left to right, are: Master Sgt. Tom Whiteman, Master Sgt. Jeff Lamarche, Senior Master Sgt. Don Roberts and Technical Sgt. Jim Mauthe. Not pictured is Master Sgt. Gene DeHart, who is to the left of the American flag.
